Sophie Hinchcliffe attends the "Friends Festive" VIP launch party at The Truman Brewery on November 28, 2019 in London, England

Social media sensation Mrs Hinch has condemned the “disgusting” burglars who targeted her mother’s property and made off with jewellery of immense sentimental value. The cleaning guru – whose real name is Sophie Hinchcliffe – used her Instagram story to voice her anger and heartbreak over the robbers’ callous actions.

According to her account, the break-in occurred between 10am and 6pm on 27th January at her parents’ residence in Maldon, Essex. “I can’t believe I’m writing this,” she raged. “You broke into a grieving woman’s home and stole her jewellery! Items that belonged to my late Dad. Sentimental, irreplaceable items that you had NO right to touch.”

Mrs Hinch expressed her fury on Instagram at the thieves that stole from her mother

The 35-year old went on to deliver a stark message to the thieves, insisting she “will not be dropping” the matter.

Mrs Hinch added: “That jewellery may be worthless to you, but it’s priceless to my mum. She has already lost her husband and is trying to piece her life together, and you chose to violate her home and rip away what little she had left of him.”

The cleaning guru went on to brand the crime as “cruel, disgusting and cowardly”, stating the thieves “knew exactly what they were doing”. She has also urged them to “do the right thing” and return the stolen items, whether anonymously or by handing them in.

She concluded her statement with: “This area is being watched. This is being shared. And this will be pursued. No-one deserves this! Especially not my mum.”

Mrs Hinch returned to her Instagram story to issue an appeal

Mrs Hinch later posted a photo of the stolen rings, before revealing to her 4.8 million followers that additional items had been taken. “They’ve also stolen my mum’s gold cross and chain,” she explained. “My mum has always worn this as comfort through the toughest times, including my dad’s funeral.”

She then appealed to her local followers to help spread the word in hopes of recovering the “priceless goods”. Mrs Hinch confessed: “I know this is so unlikely to happen, but I have to try everything.”

In a final update, she disclosed that other irreplaceable items had also been taken – specifically her mum’s engagement, wedding and eternity rings. “She simply wasn’t wearing [them] but keeping them safe in her bedroom because they’re too loose right now,” Mrs Hinch wrote. “How can people be that cruel?”

Mrs Hinch launched her Instagram account @mrshinchhome in March 2018, and by 2024, fresh Companies House filings revealed she’d achieved multi-millionaire status.
