Laura Hamilton has spoken out against what she calls “disturbing” online comments, expressing her unease at repeated suggestions that she should profit from photographs of her feet.

The A Place in the Sun host, 43, revealed she has been contacted by followers urging her to join WikiFeet – a website devoted to viewing and rating images of celebrities’ feet – but has firmly dismissed the notion.

Speaking to the Daily Mail‘s Richard Eden at an awards ceremony in Mayfair, Laura said: “It’s the people that comment on my feet online that I find disturbing. I post a lot of pictures around my house without any shoes on, and they’ll say like, ‘Wow, you know you have a really good WikiFeet?'”

She continued: “I would never sell pictures of my feet, it’s hard enough creating content for social media platforms.”

Her comments arrive as an increasing number of celebrities monetise specialist content online. Singer Lily Allen attracted attention in 2024 when she set up an OnlyFans account to sell photographs and videos of her feet, under the name Lily Allen FTSE500, charging subscribers £8 monthly for exclusive material, reports the Daily Star.

Nevertheless, Laura made it plain she has no plans to do likewise, despite ongoing pressure from certain sections of the internet. The presenter has established a lengthy career in television, becoming a recognisable figure to UK viewers through her role on A Place in the Sun, where she assists house-hunters in discovering their ideal properties overseas. Recognised for her engaging presenting approach and knowledge of international property markets, she has also featured on various other shows, including children’s TV earlier in her professional life.

Beyond the camera, Laura is a mum of two and frequently posts snapshots of her family life on social media – something she acknowledges unintentionally draws unwelcome scrutiny.

Last year, the travel expert responded to a cruel troll who claimed she was “too old” to wear a bikini. The TV personality spoke out about the harsh remark she encountered on social media, disclosing how the criticism sparked a defiant reaction.

Taking to Instagram, Laura revealed that one user had implied she should steer clear of bikinis due to her age. Refusing to be discouraged, the presenter confidently displayed her physique, posing in a small blue-and-white bikini as she pushed back against the negativity.#

Laura hit back at trolls

In the photograph – used as the cover for a video she uploaded – Laura is pictured sitting poolside, boldly addressing the criticism. Captioning the post, she wrote: “Who decides when we’re ‘too old’ for anything?”

She clarified the post was a direct response to being told she was “too old” to wear a bikini.

Laura added: “I recently read a comment saying I was too old to wear a bikini… and it honestly made me stop and think for a second.

“But then I reminded myself, life’s way too short to worry about what other people think.”

She boldly declared: “Today I’m wearing a swimsuit, not because of the comment I read but because I wanted to and I feel comfortable in it!

“We all have days when we feel self-conscious, but we deserve to enjoy the sunshine, the beach, the pool, whatever makes us happy, no matter our age and whether we choose to wear a swimsuit or a bikini!

“Live your life and feel good in your own skin,” she concluded.
