Jesy Nelson has confirmed her split from musician Zion Foster, months after the birth of their twin daughters, Ocean Jade and Story Monroe Nelson-Foster, in May 2025. The twins have been diagnosed with a rare genetic condition, SMA1 (Spinal Muscular Atrophy), which affects muscle strength, movement, breathing, swallowing, and can cause joint problems. Jesy shared that the diagnosis came after her mother noticed limited movement in their legs and early feeding difficulties.

Speaking to the Daily Mail, Jesy said: “We have been through such a traumatic experience and for us, our girls are our main priority and our main focus. We want to give them the most positive, happy and uplifting time and energy. Because we have both been through such a traumatic experience, the energy wasn’t right between us, which is understandable.”

She added that they remain friends and are united in co-parenting their daughters, saying: “They are our main focus, that’s all we can do, be the best possible parents we can right now.”

Jesy’s pregnancy journey will be featured in her upcoming Prime Video documentary, Jesy Nelson: Life After Little Mix, launching on February 13. She reflected on filming, saying: “As horrendous and traumatic as it was, I am so incredibly grateful that the cameras were there. During episodes three, four, five and six, that’s when you really start to see the access.”

Jesy and Zion began dating in January 2022 and got engaged in September 2025. Jesy announced the engagement on Instagram, writing: “Just got engaged to my best friend.”

Jesy rose to fame in 2011 after winning The X Factor with Little Mix alongside Leigh-Anne Pinnock, Perrie Edwards and Jade Thirlwall. She left the group in December 2020 after nearly a decade, having achieved chart-topping success with hits like Cannonball, Shout Out To My Ex, and Wings.
