Elizabeth Hurley shares details of their tender moments and the special present Billy Rae Cyrus bought her as their relationship gets serious.

Elizabeth Hurley has revealed how Billy Ray Cyrus spent the summer serenading her with love songs as their romance began to bloom.

The actress, 60, opened up about their growing connection from heartfelt gestures to their shared love of the outdoors recalling the tender moments they enjoyed together at her picturesque Herefordshire farm.

“He’s definitely more romantic than me,” Liz admitted. “He spent the summer strumming his guitar under a tree, composing love songs while I was busy strimming and chainsawing around him.”

Their idyllic courtship also included a particularly sweet birthday surprise from the country music star. “He gave me a giant teepee for my birthday,” she revealed. “We snuggle up in it it’s extremely romantic.”

Speaking on This Morning today, Liz Hurley revealed that Billy Ray Cyrus, father of Miley Cyrus and the singer behind Achy, Breaky Heart, had written a song inspired by their blossoming romance. “He has written a song,” she told hosts Cat Deeley and Ben Shepherd. “I don’t know if it’s about me, but it’s for me.”

Liz, 60, and Billy, 64, went public with their relationship in April, sharing a sweet Instagram snap of Billy planting a kiss on Liz’s cheek. Since then, the pair have been inseparable, showing plenty of affection at last month’s National Television Awards.

“Billy and I have so much hair between us that we’re in constant danger of choking on hair balls,” Liz joked to Attitude magazine, referring to their famously thick locks.

The couple first co-starred in the 2022 film Christmas in Paradise, the same year Billy divorced his wife Tish after nearly two decades of marriage. He later married singer Firerose, real name Johanna Rose, in 2023, but the union ended in divorce in less than a year.

Liz herself has had a string of high-profile relationships, having dated actor Hugh Grant, married Indian businessman Arun Nayar, and been engaged to Australian cricketer Shane Warne. She also shares a son, Damian, with film producer Steve Bing.

Damian, 23, is reportedly a big fan of Billy Ray Cyrus and has given his approval to his mother’s new relationship. Speaking about motherhood, Liz reflected: “Being a parent is all-consuming and I wouldn’t have it any other way. I’ve put bringing up my baby ahead of everything.”

She also revealed a unique shared hobby with Billy. “Most days, Billy and I watch birds of prey through our binoculars,” she said. “We see them build nests, hunt to feed their babies, and prepare them to go out into the big, bad world and fly solo. While I’m not ripping up squirrels with my talons to feed my son, I would if I had to. There’s nothing like parenthood to bring out the call of the wild.”

At Wednesday night’s Virgin Atlantic Attitude Awards at the Roundhouse in Camden, Liz was honoured with the Honorary Gay Award, speaking passionately about her pride in supporting the LGBTQ+ community. “You have stuck by me through thick and thin, and even when I’ve been at my absolute lowest ebb, it has always been you who have come in like the cavalry and stood by my side,” she said.

Liz added that she has always felt at home with the community. “A true diva must love sequins, very high heels, 80s disco music, and have lots of best gay friends,” she joked. “I tick all the boxes. However, I’m relatively low maintenance, so I may need to start shouting at people to really join the ranks.”
