Stacey Solomon fumed, ‘I was robbed!’ after missing out on a BAFTA Television Award during the latest episode of her BBC reality series Stacey & Joe even taking a cheeky swipe at her husband, Joe Swash.

The hit show, which first premiered on the BBC in April, offers a glimpse into the couple’s busy home life with their blended family.

In the most recent episode, viewers watched as Stacey and Joe who share children Rex, Rosie, and Belle attended the star-studded BAFTA Television Awards at London’s Royal Festival Hall back in May.

Stacey Solomon’s other hit show, Sort Your Life Out where she teams up with a group of experts to help families declutter their homes had been nominated for two awards on the night.

However, the star sadly missed out on both trophies, losing Best Factual Entertainment to Rylan Clark and Rob Rinder’s Grand Tour and Best Entertainment Performance to Late Night Lycett.

Following the ceremony, a disappointed Stacey told the cameras: “Boo. No BAFTAs.”

While riding in a taxi afterward, she rang her dad David to break the news. “I lost them both, Dad,” she said.

“Oh my God,” he replied, to which Stacey responded: “I know, Dad. That’s wrong!”

Speaking candidly to viewers, the mum-of-five admitted: “It’s devastating when we didn’t win. I know you’re supposed to lose gracefully, but I was gutted.”

David then handed the phone to Stacey’s eldest son, Zachary, who cheekily suggested: “You should take me next time I don’t think Joe is very lucky.”

Laughing beside her husband, Stacey agreed: “Yeah, you’re my lucky charm, Zach. I think it’s Joe!”

Later in the episode, EastEnders actor Joe Swash was seen trying to cheer his wife up after the disappointing night.

Trying to lift her spirits after the awards disappointment, Joe Swash reassured his wife with some trademark optimism.
“Mark my words,” he told her. “You’ve got the BAFTAs and what’s up from the BAFTAs? The Oscars. This time next year, we’ll be up for an Oscar.”

Stacey laughed and asked: “An Oscar for what?”
Joe grinned: “Just for being Stacey Solomon!”

Just weeks earlier, Stacey had jokingly branded it “absolutely ludicrous” that both of her TV shows Sort Your Life Out and Stacey & Joe were nominated in the same category at the National Television Awards.

Speaking on Magic Radio just hours before the star-studded ceremony at London’s O2 Arena, the presenter called in to share her reaction.
“They’ve put Sort Your Life Out and Stacey & Joe in the same blummin’ category for some reason,” she told hosts Tom Price and Lucy Horobin. “We’re up against each other, which is absolutely ludicrous!

“But you know what? I’m just so grateful to be going. It’s lovely to be shortlisted and nominated especially knowing it’s all down to a public vote.”

Stacey added that the National Television Awards would be extra special for her loved ones.
“All our family are going to be there,” she said. “It’s the first time our family has got to go to anything like this, so it’s going to be amazing no matter what happens!”

When host Tom Price asked how Joe might react if Sort Your Life Out won the prize, Stacey laughed: “He’ll secretly be giving me daggers, but outwardly I’m sure he’ll clap!”

The comments come just months after Stacey faced disappointment at the BAFTA Television Awards in May, where she lost out to Rylan Clark and Rob Rinder’s Grand Tour. The star later admitted she was “gutted” by the result, insisting her team “deserved” to take home the trophy.

Stacey and Joe, who have been together since 2016, got engaged in 2020 and tied the knot two years later.
