David Del Rio’s wife, Katherine Del Rio, criticized Leah Lewis amid claims that her husband sexually assaulted the actress.
On Thursday, Katherine shared a close-up photo of Lewis on Instagram Stories, captioning it: “This is the most disturbing human being I have ever met.”
The 34-year-old also mocked Lewis’ own statement about the allegations, reposting it to her followers.

Leah Lewis shared a smiling red carpet photo with the caption: “Mom is here, we’re moving forward in love and strength. I’m in good hands. Thank you to everybody for any kind of support and care. Truly, we’re moving forward in strength. Key word, strength. Please, let that be the takeaway.”
Katherine Del Rio posted her own version, slightly altering it to say she is “moving forward in love and strength after what Leah did to [her] family.” She has since deleted both posts.

David Del Rio and Leah Lewis’ representatives did not immediately respond to Page Six for comment.
On Thursday, it was reported that David, 38, had been fired from the CBS legal drama following allegations that he sexually assaulted Lewis.
According to Deadline, the alleged assault occurred on September 26, and David was “fired and escorted off the lot on October 2,” the same day the claim was reported.
His character, Billy Martinez, is being written out of the show’s second season. The series is currently on a filming hiatus until November after completing the first half of production.

David Del Rio has not publicly commented on the scandal, and Leah Lewis, who portrays Sarah Franklin, has only made her initial statement.
Other cast members of Matlock, including Kathy Bates and Jason Ritter, have not weighed in.
Season 2 of Matlock is set to premiere on October 12.
